Trunk-or-Treat (10-27)

Our church does an event called Lite the Nite where people decorate their trunks and kids trick-or-treat from trunk to trunk.  This is our second year of decorating our trunk.  Last year we did a UPS Store and it POURED rain!

This year I picked a mouse costume for Esther (from Costco since it was inexpensive...and I knew I would use the tights/pink shirt as outfit pieces).  Isaiah asked to be a donut because he and Grandad play donuts and Grandad sings him a silly song--I wish I were a chocolate covered donut (to the tune of "I wish I were an Oscar Mayer Wiener.") We needed to think of something to do with a mouse and food item and we eventually thought of  "Mouse Mess" one of Isaiah's favorite children's books.

We had fun having the van this year...it made decorating much easier and had it rained we would have stayed dryer than last year.  There was tons of space in the back of the van and the kids just played while we passed out candy!

We recorded me reading the book "Mouse Mess" on the iPad and then played
the video over and over again for kids during trunk-or-treat.

Eating candy!!!

Nonna and Pops came towards the end of Trunk-or-Treat and took Isaiah and Esther
around to do some of the other fun stuff that was inside.  Dan, Elise, Campbell, and
Greyson also came to check out the fun.
