Nursery Update

While in Idaho Aunt Jolene requested current nursery pictures. Here are a couple new pictures that show what the room currently looks like at this point. We still don't have anything on the walls yet. We have a quilt that will go above the dresser/changing table but we are still deciding the best method for hanging it up. And we haven't made a final decision about what will go on the wall above the crib. It has been a fun process to SLOWLY put together our nursery. We really are enjoying having the space somewhat set up as we find ourselves in the room talking, dreaming, and praying for our future little one.

Here is a close up of the crib. It now has a bedskirt, mattress, mattress cover, and sheet.

In this picture you can see the paint colors on the wall.

Here is a close up of the dresser I bought, sanded, painted red with my dad's help, bought baskets for the cubbyholes, bought a changing pad, and a changing pad cover.

Wow, it has been almost a month...

since I blogged and a lot sure has happened.

On Friday, September 4th Travis and I drove to Boise, Idaho for a family wedding. While we were driving I got a call from the Newberg School District to let me know I was being recalled to a 2/3 blend classroom at Dundee Elementary. Without knowing much information I said yes to the job. Wow, what a blessing from God to be able to have my own classroom for the 2009-2010 school year and not have to be a substitute.

Saturday, September 5th we attended Andrew and Anaya's wedding. It was held in a beautiful garden.Travis has the opportunity to play his saxophone for the wedding prelude with a friend from when we lived in Idaho.
I had the opportunity to hang out with our good friend Clint. I helped him with the sound set up and running the sound during the wedding.
Andrew with his dad waiting for his bride.
Andrew's sister Lydia and I after the wedding.
Travis and I took a few pictures on the beautiful grounds.
Sunday, September 6th we drove home and enjoyed listening to the Shack by William B. Young. It is a great book if you have never read it.

Monday, September 7th I woke up to Travis having the stomach flu. I had to leave my sick husband and go to school and set up my classroom.

Tuesday, September 8th was my first day with students. Crazy start to the year, but still thankful to have a job!
