Oregon Gardens

Emily, Brad, and Joy arrived to our house Friday evening, July 20 and they are staying with us through Thursday, July 26.  We started our first whole day together by going to the Oregon Gardens.  None of us had been to the Oregon Gardens before so it was fun to experience it together and the grounds were so beautiful!

One of the first things we did once we got to the Oregon Gardens was enjoyed the free tram ride tour around the park grounds.

Family picture on the tram...Isaiah was super happy to be riding the tram!

When we paid our admission we all got a flower stamp on our hand.  Isaiah LOVED his stamp and loved having Daddy and Mommy put their flower hands next to his flower hand!

Travis was busy studying the map so we knew where to explore after our train ride!
Amazing view from the tram ride!

After the tram ride we started visiting the different sections of the gardens...of course our first stop was the children's garden.  We introduced Isaiah to Mr. and Mrs. Pots!

Isaiah liked the turtle step stools!

There was a train in part of the children's garden, but it wasn't working.  Isaiah still thought it was fun to look at.

I loved this gate in the children's garden!

I thought my nephew Campbell would appreciate this star tree!

There was also a small tunnel in the children's garden that Isaiah had loads of fun exploring!

After the children's garden we visited a food garden...all the fruits and veggies that are grown in the garden are given to the local food bank and shared with the community.

For some reason Isaiah was very interested in finding water at the Oregon Gardens.  But thus far we hadn't found water that worked to let Isaiah explore.  When I found this water fountain I knew he would be in love.  At first I was just letting him push the button, but then he thought it was fun to get a drink, and help everyone else get a drink too!

I made sure to get a a couple photos of just Emily and I- it is so good to spend time with my good friend!

We found more water for Isaiah to play in, but we had to assist his playing because we didn't want him to get soaking wet!

Rest break...

Isaiah was excited to get to rest by water...we let him stick his finger in the small pond.

Our rest break was a perfect time to take pictures of Joy!

Finally a good picture of Joy and I!
