Father's Day Sunday, June 17th

Travis was supposed to play his saxophone at church on Sunday morning so he left early to figure out music details and then somehow was roped into singing on the worship team  (actually he really wanted to sing with the group).  Since Travis went early he also got to participate in the special Father's Day breakfast.  He even won a couple prizes.  One was for driving the most miles to a Father's Day celebration and the other one was a winning from a raffle drawing.  Isaiah went to bed late on Saturday so he was a sleepy head Sunday morning!  We decided it was best for me to let him sleep in and feed him breakfast at home and meet up with everyone at church.

Since Travis worked at this church (7 years ago) many people still know him (us) and enjoyed his talents.  He had fun singing on the worship team.  He didn't end up playing his saxophone, but I think he will next week.  He might also do a special song next week- possibly one of the songs we do at our church at home.

After church we took a couple family photos and Daddy and son pictures in honor of Father's Day!

Happy Father's Day to my Daddy, Pops!  Happy Father's Day to Travis' Daddy, Grandpa!  Happy Father's Day to Travis, Isaiah's Daddy!  Each of you are wonderful fathers.

Isaiah asked to hold a flower.  Travis tried to pick a flower for Isaiah, but he got the flower roots and all!

Isaiah had lots of fun with his big, long flower!

After church, lunch, and family pictures Isaiah had fun playing toys at Aunt Jolene and Uncle Lance's house.  Isaiah is loving playing with all the new and different toys.  He had a lot of fun with the doll house!

He took everything out of the house to access the goods.
He opened and closed lots of windows and doors!

He thought the sink was pretty cool.  He talked about washing your hands in the sink.

Aunt Jolene taught him how to pretend the people were tired and tuck them into their beds.

There were lots of beds from the doll house.  He made one long line of people in their beds.
He played pretend with Aunt Jolene.  All the people had cake together!

Aunt Jolene has lots of other cool toys too...like TRACTORS!

Eventually, we had to convince him the toys would still be around for him to play with after his nap.  He took a nap...and Daddy got a Father's Day nap in too!

While the boys were napping Jolene and I baked potatoes, made biscuits, fruit salad, and green salad for dinner.
The recipe called for 5 CUPS of flour...but we doubled the recipe so I needed 10 CUPS of flour!  I thought the bowl Jolene gave me to mix the biscuits in was too small, but she was convinced it would work.
Nope, the bowl was WAY to small.  We didn't even have any of the liquid ingredients yet.  Ha, lots of laughs in the kitchen!

After Isaiah's (and Daddy's) nap time Lydia and Thiago came over for dinner and to hang out.  Isaiah  was excited to see them again.

Lydia wore her new shirt and skirt from when we went shopping while she was in Oregon so we decided to take a couple photos together.

Thiago entertained Isaiah by spinning a couch pillow.

He thought Thiago was hilarious!  The still pictures just weren't capturing his joy of this activity.  Here are three short video clips of attempting to document his laughter over Thiago's pillow spinning talents.
