Tulip Festival- April 27th

Before Kristin came to visit us I figured she would want to eat soft boiled eggs and do things outdoors. When I texted her and asked her what she would like to do while she was here she said eat soft boiled eggs and hike outdoors...crazy how well I still know this girl!

So Saturday morning I fixed her soft boiled eggs...I don't make them a ton anymore so they didn't turn out as awesome as I wish.  We got ready and headed out the to the Tulip Festival.  Kristin enjoyed holding Esther while we got ready. Then we headed out to explore the tulip fields.  The weather was perfect for being outside.

This was Isaiah's second time to the see the tulip fields.  We went when he was around 2 1/2 years old and had a great time then too.

Isaiah enjoyed getting to sit on a couple of different tractors that were in the tulip fields.  He got to sit on a green tractor and a pink tractor.  This boy sure loves tractors!

Mommy and Isaiah with the pretty yellow tulips!

Kristin and Isaiah...sporting their awesome sunglasses!

Here is the pink tractor.  He got a nice turn on this tractor so we actually got some pretty cute photos.

Ever since last summer when we drove to Idaho (where we saw lots of windmills) Isaiah loves looking for windmills. He had fun watching this one before eating some lunch.

We enjoyed our Subway sandwiches!

After lunch Isaiah got to play on the slides before we headed back out to the tulip fields.

He was even brave enough to climb and slide down the super tall slide.

He went slow down the slide, but he enjoyed it and took a few more turns on this slide.

We played at the water pump...Isaiah liked watching the ducks swim and move in the water.

The girls in the tulips... too bad Esther was being a sleepy head!

We visited the green tractor again...it was less busy this time so we had fun taking some family photos!

There was a little tram/train you could ride.  We didn't really need to, but Isaiah really wanted to do it and it was free so we took the ride.  He thought it was great!

The tram/train took you out to see some steam engines, which were loud and Isaiah wasn't a fan... but he thought this sign was pretty cool!

Esther finally woke up so I tried to get a picture of her sitting next to the flowers...but her sitting skills still weren't too reliable so our hands were in most of the pictures since we were making sure she didn't fall over.  We got two where our hands weren't interfering in the picture, but then she wasn't looking or smiling...ah picture taking with a 5 month old-ha!

While Esther was awake we attempted a mommy/daughter picture in the tulip field...they turned out so cute!

Don't worry Esther was worn out... and slept again on the car ride home.
