Memorial Day

Memorial Day is a day of respect for those who have given so much for our freedom and our safety. While this was on our minds today...

To us today also meant one more day with Grandma and Grandpa before they had to head home!  Before they left to go home we spent the morning walking around the Washington Square Mall together.  Isaiah "enjoyed" a short helicopter ride.  I say "enjoyed" because he asked to do it, wanted to do it, but then seemed a little uneasy about the whole experience.

After lunch at the mall Grandma and Grandpa headed home and we headed home for naps (yes, I needed one today too we have had a busy weekend).

To us today also provided time for an evening with our friends for a BBQ.  I was in charge of bringing dessert...and I didn't disappoint.  Haagen Dazs ice cream bars for everyone!  The kids LOVED their ice cream and everyone love pictures of kids getting a messy from eating ice cream.

Poor Josiah and Nathan are too little to eat ice cream, but not for long!
