52F and Sunny

Can it really be that we are finally experiencing spring weather (at least for a couple days) before the rain returns? Yes, today was a perfect spring day-right.

Isaiah took an earlier nap today and was awake by 3:30pm.  Daddy is in class on Monday evenings so we normally head over to Nonna and Pops house after his nap to hang out with them.  However, since it was earlier than when we normally get there we had enough time for Isaiah and I to venture outside for a nice walk and visit to the park.

I completely enjoyed the warmth of the sun on our walk.  We looped around my parents neighborhood for close to an hour and then ended up at a park in Old Sherwood.  This is a park I have never taken Isaiah, but knew he would probably like because it has lots of swings!

Once at the park, I asked Isaiah if he wanted to swing.  His response was no, and instead decided to pick up bark chips.  Really?  Such a disappointment since this park is packed with swing options.

This park has...baby swings, which we don't have at the park close to our house...so that would have been nice for me not to have to worry about him remembering to constantly hang on tight,  a tire swing, which is super fun,  and regular big kid swings.  But nope, not so interested in the swings today.

I finally did convince Isaiah to get on the tire swing, but guess what happened?  RAIN!  Yes, it started to rain on my nice spring weather day. Since I didn't think it was going to rain I didn't have the sun shade up on the stroller so the seat of the stroller was getting soaked.  So I quickly had to get us out of the tire swing and run to the stroller to pull down the sun shad and drape my coat to keep Isaiah' s seat dry.  I also moved the stroller closer to the play equipment in hopes of protecting the strollers dryness level.  All the while, Isaiah didn't seem to mind getting a little damp so I continued to watch him explore this new park.
Duck and cover little stroller!
Yes, Isaiah found something to spin!
He had a great time studying and watching the wheel spin.
He also had fun with this ramp!

After the park visit we continued into Old Sherwood to pick up Pops from the bus stop.  Isaiah doesn't look thrilled to be waiting, but he was SO EXCITED when he saw Pops step off the bus!

Nonna met up with us at the bus stop too.  Isaiah enjoyed walking back with his Nonna and Pops!
