Isaiah is Learning to Feed Himself

When we took Isaiah to the doctor for his 18 month check-up we had to fill out a developmental form for him. He didn't pass in two of the areas and only barely passed in the other three areas. Our doctor (who we won't be going to again) was worried that he was developmentally behind. We were totally shocked since he had only been home for 1 month!

Well, now that he has been home for 2 months we just started letting him practice feeding himself with silverware (which was one of the things on the developmental form that we had to check no he hadn't mastered yet). I don't know why a baby who was mostly on all formula at 17 months when he came home should be expected to switch to eating solid foods and feeding himself (with silverware) these solid foods or he is considered developmentally behind...crazy doctor!
We are so proud of you Isaiah... you did awesome with your first attempt at feeding yourself. Totally still trying to figure out how the spoon works, but he was totally successful in getting some of the pudding into his mouth.
Yummy, he liked pudding and feeding himself.

We let him feed himself applesauce and rice today also. In my opinion he is doing awesome, but I maybe be biased since I am his Mommy and adore him!
