Christmas Cookies with Kelsey (11-10)

Kelsey came for a weekend visit!  We decided to make ribbon cookies, which is technically one of our Christmas cookie recipes, but we used fall colored sprinkles so they were appropriate and yummy!

Poor Kristin, my other cousin, lives too far away right now to help us make them and eat them.  Kristin, we all ate a ribbon cookie in your honor!

I only made one batch of these Christmas cookies last year and it was around this same time last year. Then on November 18, 2011 I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes and I thought I would never get to eat cookies again.  I am so thankful that we discovered it early and I was able to get healthy quickly and I am happy to report that I can still eat cookies!

We did make the ribbon cookies this year with 1/4 cup less sugar and no one noticed, they still tasted yummy, so yeah us!

Isaiah had fun helping Mommy, Kelsey, and Nonna with the first and last part of the cookie making process.  He likes helping pour the recipe items into the mixer and watching the mixer spin.  He also enjoyed eating the finished yummy cookies!

Kelsey was a pro at using our cookie press...thank you Pampered Chef because we have finally found the best cookie press option for making these delicious cookies!

Isaiah loves sprinkles.  He had a grand time holding them in the bag, but he also wanted to help eat them!

Isaiah got to help decorate his cookie, eat it, and then he was off to play toys again.
