Sunday, July 8th

We got to go to our home church, Family Life Church, this week.  It felt good to go after being gone for three weeks- 2 in Idaho and 1 for Greyson's dedication.  Isaiah did FANTASTIC and stayed in Sunday school so not only did I get to go to our home church, but I got to hear the sermon!

Pastor Dave preached from John chapter 4 verses 43-54:  Jesus Heals the Official's Son.  The official's question had been answered, his son was healed, therefore, his faith had been confirmed.  Dave created a great illustration when he talked about the levels of faith:  crisis faith, confident faith, confirmed faith, contagious faith.  He said that the crises of life usually lead to the greatest lessons of life. At the end of the service Dave asked the congregation, what are you desperate for?  In my mind and heart, I was thinking our adoption process.  No mater what I do, think, or want I can't make it happen, but I am desperate to know God's plan for our family.

After church we meet Dan, Elise, Campbell, and Greyson for lunch at Abby's pizza.  Yum!  Isaiah's routine is eat... and then play i-pod.  Today he enjoyed snuggling Pops while playing i-pod.

Greyson is really into pointing at things!

When we were done with lunch we came home and Isaiah took his nap.  Around dinner time we went to Nonna and Pops house for taco/nacho bar for dinner.  It was so delicious!  We were celebrating Aunt DeAnn's almost 50th birthday will ALL the family.  Since ALL the family was here we took family photos at George Fox.  These are the family photos Grammy requested for their 60th wedding anniversary!

Thank you Josh and Kayla and Ruthie for giving part of an evening, a very HOT evening, to accomplish this task!  I am looking forward to seeing the pictures.

Many lbs of sweat were lost that evening so after taking pictures in the heat we went back to Nonna and Pops house to enjoy some yummy birthday cakes that I made-one cake was a tried and true chocolate peanut butter cake and another was a new recipe off Pintrest.  I don't think I will be making the Pintrest cake again...it was ok, but nothing special.

Isaiah loves the Happy Birthday song so I recorded our talented family singing it so he can watch/listen to it over and over again.
