Our Family Fun For Fourth of July

On Wednesday morning Travis went and bought us McDonald's breakfast.  He has been craving it since our vacation.  We never really had time/the need to eat out for breakfast while we were gone.  It was a pretty yummy treat.

Then we left our house on foot around 10 am and returned around 12pm.  We walked to the park on Hayworth (by the pool), we let Isaiah play-alright we wanted to play too, continued our walk on Fulton and Meridian and looped around through George Fox, and then headed back home. It felt good to be in the nice warm weather and go on such a nice long walk...minus the small low blood sugar episode.

We are still trying to find a "good" park now that we have experienced "Jolene's park" in Idaho.  We keep taking Isaiah to different parks, but he constantly is still requesting "Jolene's park".  At this park the slide was wide enough that either Travis or I could ride down with him.  He thought that was pretty fun, but the ride was fairly short!

After our long morning walk we had lunch at home and nap time before heading to the Sargent's for our 4th of July BBQ!  Again since the weather was nice and warm we got to enjoy eating dinner and visiting on their deck.  Isaiah and Lily had fun playing lots of different toys on the deck!

Isaiah and Mommy-4th of July 2012

Isaiah loved Lily's big truck and so of course it was the desired toy by Lily too.  Luckily we have a small truck we keep in our car.  The kids had fun playing with the big and small truck.  They were each excited to have the "new to them" toy, but be playing the same thing!

All three kids-Isaiah, Nathan, and Lily

Isaiah and Lily had fun playing trucks, but they also had fun playing push each other in the small wooden stroller!

Isaiah and Lily played super well together tonight.

What is a fourth of July BBQ without some yummy ice cream sundaes!

It was so great to have an evening with friends- relaxing and enjoying each other.

Travis had fun holding Beulah!

I had fun holding Nathan!

Isaiah thought it was fun for Mommy to be holding two boys...the normal two boys are Isaiah and Campbell, but he was happy to be with Nathan!

Around 9:15pm we headed out to find FIREWORKS!  Isaiah loved fireworks last year so we knew we needed to find some before heading home.  We went to a fireworks show in the Oak Hills neighborhood.  We parked a few blocks away, walked into the neighborhood, found what we thought might be a good spot to watch the fireworks (turned out to be a fantastic spot), and finally around 10 pm enjoyed a 30 minute firework show.  Isaiah was in LOVE!  He giggled through the whole show!

Giggle face!
Giggling in Daddy's face!

We gave Isaiah a glow stick flag that entertained him during the fireworks show too!

Our family had a great day celebrating the fourth of July!
