On Thursday, July 20 Isaiah and I meet Sarah, Lily, and Nathan at Cooper Mountain Nature Park. We let the kids play in the small playground up top, next we ate our picnic lunch, and then we ventured out for our hike! Nathan rode in the stroller and Lily and Isaiah were supposed to walk...Lily got a little tired though so Sarah had to carry her (most of the way) but Isaiah was a trooper and walked the whole time!
Before leaving for our short Hike Sarah and I reviewed the map, but we decided we weren't sure we would remember our path so I took a picture to remember the trails we wanted. Ha!
So since Sarah ended up carrying Lily most of the hike I ended up pushing Nathan in the stroller. Nathan was happily asleep during the hike, unless our walking stopped or slowed down too much.
Sarah and Lily listening to nature!
Isaiah making it up the hill. He was getting SO TIRED by this point in the hike hat he was walking slower and slower!
Near the end of the hike there is a squirrel nest that the kids had fun playing in for a few minutes, but Nathan wasn't too happy with the stroller staying still so we quickly had to finish the walk so Nathan could be fed.
When we got back from the hike we were super sweaty! We let the kids play for a few more minutes at the playground up top. They enjoyed the slide and sandbox!
It was fun to get a good workout in and hang out with friends!
