Lance and Travis (I mean Flash) are having fun with the morning skit.! Today Flash came out with a bag on his head and started telling Lance and the kids that all his hopes and dreams flew away into the sunset without him and that he didn't feel like talking about anything was not going to change the way he felt. He felt like he would never be able to fly. So he decided he was going to hide under the bag-embarrassed forever! However, On Day 2 the kids learned No Matter What You Feel...Trust God!
The preschool class had lots of fun on Tuesday! This class LOVES music and dancing!
Isaiah has to get Mommy hugs every now and then still.
Isaiah has a hard time sitting still during the story even though Jolene does an excellent job having the kids be interactive with the story. Today they learned about how Jesus healed Lazarus.
The kids helped wrapped Lazarus into his grace clothes.
Lazarus is ready to be put into the cave.
The kids were each given a beanie baby pretend Lazarus to wrap in grave clothes too and then put into the cave.
There was also lots of playtime today too!
Cookie snack time was great!
Chaddar the Chipmunk video time!
Here are the pictures that Lance got from Day 2 that include Travis and the things his group did on Tuesday.
When the preschool class was watching Chaddar Isaiah was getting restless and I knew Travis and his group was at crafts so we went to visit him. Isaiah had fun doing stickers with the bigger kids.
After Isaiah's nap, on Tuesday afternoon, we made Monster Cookies to take to VBS the next day. We had all four adults and Isaiah in the kitchen helping make the cookies which provided for many laughs! Somehow we managed to get all the ingredients into the kitchen aid bowl... it made about 10 dozen cookies! And wow, these cookies were delicious!
We went to La Costa, a Mexican food restaurant for dinner. Then we went for a long walk around town and ended up at the park. There were a lot of slides at this park. He found one that looked ok and was content going on it over and over. He wanted to explore the other slides, but they made him a little nervous.
Jolene showed him how to ride down the big blue slide...I think it made her a little nervous too.
Isaiah did try out the big blue slide ... I'm not sure he thought it was fun.
There was also a red twisty slide that he wanted to try, but he just couldn't get through being nervous to actually attempt it. He climbed the steps many times, but always turned around and came back the steps.
