Painting- Monday, April 15th

During the month of April, Isaiah was learning about the color green at preschool...and that yellow and blue paint mixed together will make green.  We had fun painting at home to reinforce what he is doing in school.  We also made some flowers to hang on our art wall.

I painted this picture with flowers, but Isaiah helped me decide what colors I should use and where to put things on the page.  When the picture was done he kindly traded his artwork for my artwork, which he thought was way cool.  It is wonderful to have your 4 year old think you are a good artist!

We also tested out toilet paper tube stamps again.  This time we made flowers, an idea Nonna had found on Pinterest for us.  They worked pretty well, but you had to push the petals down and Isaiah wasn't a fan of getting messy.

Here is where the sads began...

But after a quick wipe of his hands he was back at the stamping and painting.

Isaiah even rubbed the two stamps together to make a new color...red and blue mixed together made purple!

Our April artwork wall!
Isaiah loves hanging his projects/creations up on this wall.  He now asks to hang pieces up there.  It is in such a central location that is also a good conversation starter about things he has done.
