We had a full day on Wednesday, April 17th! First we had plans to meet Sarah and kids at Cooper Mountain at 10am. We are not fast moving morning people, but we love getting out of the house! Our plan was to hike and then eat a picnic lunch so before we headed out for the day, getting ready included breakfast and packing lunches. I placed Esther in the Bumbo at the kitchen counter to be entertained by her big brother.
We made it out of the house! We all had fun exploring Cooper Mountain, the big kids walked (most of the time), Nathan rode in the stroller and Esther rode in my carrier. Since the big kids walked we let them take a fruit snack break on the bench.
After our hike we enjoyed our packed lunch... the littles had some bonding time in Sarah's double stroller. Esther hasn't been in a stroller much and isn't a huge fan yet.
Then we attempted to get a group photo with all four kids by the stroller...ha! Nathan was done riding in the stroller.
Sarah has a van too... and our big kids think it is fun to hang out in the van while we load up.
Once we got home it wasn't long before Emily arrived, We had fun doing fizzy paint (per her request) with her and then within an hour Lauren arrived too! Emily made a picture (a rainbow) in her fizzy paint. Isaiah made a lot of plops of color.
After we cleaned up fizzy paint Lauren joined us for playing play dough.
Esther woke up and hung out in the Bumbo chair again a little bit. She found a kitchen dish towel very entertaining!
Next, we got out blocks and made towers and sculptures.
Lauren tapped two blocks together to make music for Esther.
Finally, we finished out our afternoon by doing bubbles outside.
