Trav's birthday was on a Sunday this year. After church we came home had a quick lunch and then went out to fly airplanes. He recently got back into his hobby of flying airplanes. This was his first time taking his fixed up airplanes out to an open field. He didn't end up having much flying success, but he still enjoyed himself. Isaiah isn't convinced that flying airplanes is a fun hobby yet, he thinks that it is too loud! So after a little while he and I went to "play" in the car while Daddy tried to have success.
Every time he got his plane engine started I tried to video him...almost all of his flights were SUPER short and were not successful. He did get the plane to fly for a couple circle rounds, but of course I had user error and deleted the one pretty good flight. Next time hopefully he will have more flight time and I can actually get a good video.
After flying airplanes we met our family at the Bridgeport Pastini for dinner. Travis enjoyed his free birthday dinner of Tortellini Gorgonzola. Then we went back to Nonna and Pops house for cake and presents! The boys were all about helping Travis with the cake (putting the candles in and blowing them out) and presents (unwrapping-tearing paper)!
I think Travis had a GREAT 31st birthday!
