Saturday, June 30 was Greyson's 1st birthday party and it was a lot of fun!
The theme for the party was country fair and my sister did a fabulous job creatively decorating, making food, and planning games. The party was awesome! Even if Greyson won't remember it we got tons of great pictures to show him someday and then he will know how much he is loved!
Greyson got a water table as his birthday present from his parents. He likes it...a later picture will show a soaking baby boy, but the big boys thought it was a great party activity right away!
We didn't have amazingly sunny weather, but it was nice enough to be outdoors for party of the evening together.
The girls discovered the water table eventually too...and they thought it was a good party activity too!
Isaiah is never a huge fan of LOTS of people so even though he had lots of fun he still needed a few extra snuggles throughout the party.
Clive is just a couple weeks younger than Greyson and will be having his 1st birthday later this month!
Time for dinner... and so many options: corn dogs, potato salad, beans, potato chips, fruit salad, watermelon, corn, popcorn...and it was all yummy!
After Greyson was done eating dinner he wanted down and to go outside. While outside he found his water table and here is the soaking wet baby boy picture I mentioned earlier.
Elise even had a bottle and ring toss. The kids thought that was a fun activity too. They enjoyed this before opening presents.
Greyson got lots of wonderful gifts. He wasn't overly interested in opening presents yet, but I am sure he will enjoy the gifts (toys, clothes, food/snacks) in the weeks to come.
We gave Greyson and Campbell (his birthday is at the end of the month) matching red guitar shirts (Isaiah already has one to match them too). I think Campbell thought it was cool...hopefully we can get all three boys wearing them and looking at the camera sometime this summer!
After presents, finally it was time for CAKE. At one point during the party Campbell asked when is the party going to start? I think he meant when do we get to eat cake? He was pretty excited. Greyson wasn't too excited about his cake, but did make a good mess!
I tried to model for him how to take a BIG bite...right after I did this he leaned in and copied me, but then everyone clapped and cheered and I think that scared him a little.
The bigger kids were excited to have cake, but they all just ate the frosting off and not the actual cake...silly kids!
Isaiah didn't even go for the frosting...he just has the ice cream!
Greyson thought the ice cream was pretty good too!
After playing, dinner, playing, presents, and cake it was time for more playing!
Thanks for hosting such a great party. I'm glad we are Greyson's Aunt Kalina, Uncle T, and cousin Isaiah. We love Greyson tons and are excited for year 2!
