Grandma is here this week to help take care of Kiara while Josh is out of town and Kayla needs to go into school a couple times before the end of the school year. We got to steal Grandma for a afternoon and take her to the zoo. Of course we HAD to ride the zoo train! We ended up deciding to do the zoo train first because it was a little rainy and we were trying to avoid the weather...it worked! It rained a little while we were on the train and then we stayed dry the rest of the afternoon.
Daddy and Isaiah waiting for the train to "go train go"
Funny memory...so the seats of the train have TONS of carved words/letters. We happened to be sitting next to a bad word...S*** and since Isaiah loves letters and spelling of course he spelled it (obviously not knowing it was a bad word) but the best part was when he got done reading the letters he said, "spells goat"!
Isaiah loves looking at Grandma's clock...watch!
Travis was proud of getting the tail swaying action shoot.
Isaiah LOVES the drums section in Africa. He and Daddy made some wonderful music.
Nonna asked us to visit the cow for her...but we were too late as the barn had closed for the day. But the tractor next to the barn was still fun to see, climb up, and pretend to drive.
We went around the zoo backwards (at least for our normal) so the bears were the basically the last stop. Grammy asked us to say hello to the bears and they cooperated and were out so we told them hello even though I think they were napping through our visit.
Sadly, I had about 14 more pictures on my phone that didn't download correctly, but I didn't realize until after I had already deleted the zoo set of pictures. Not a huge deal...I think there were a few more pictures of the bears that weren't all that great, and several more pictures of Isaiah sitting on a mountain goat/sheep statue towards the entrance/exit of the zoo. Good thing we have zoo pass and go again and recreate the pictures so other time!
And in good zoo tradition it wore him out so he feel asleep in the car on the way home!
