Kiara ended up having an extended stay in the hospital/NICU because she was having some breathing troubles that they wanted to monitor/help her with before she got discharged. She didn't end up getting to come home until the follow Saturday, March 31st, but she is home now! We went to visit her (and family) again on her first day home. We brought the family wedding soup, cracker bread, and strawberries for dinner.
James 1:27 says, “Religion that God accepts as pure and faultless is this; to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.” God desires for orphans of all nations to be loved, cared for, and adopted into Christian families-ultimately so they can become saved, and be adopted into His eternal family through Jesus Christ!

I have a Niece!
On the Friday before spring break I got a text while I was at work that Kayla was in the hospital and baby Kiara would be arriving soon. Kiara was born early Saturday morning, March 24th! We got to meet her Saturday afternoon...she was just a few hours old in these photos! Isaiah went with us to meet her, and he liked baby Kiara, but he wasn't in the mood to pose for pictures-maybe next time.
