Yummy Homemade Pizza's With Josh and Kayla

On Friday evening we had Josh and Kayla over to celebrate Kayla's birthday. My plan was to make homemade pizza dough for the first time.  My specific plan was that I was going to start the dough while Isaiah was napping.  However, his nap (like Thursday's nap) was abnormally short!  My poor baby work up after only an hour nap and was super sad, and all he wanted me to do was hold him.  After attempting to cook and hold Isaiah at the same time without much success I decided to get the carrier out (something we haven't used in awhile) and see if he would be happy on my back.  He ended up being very happy and I held him for the next hour on my back and continued to get dinner ready.
Since no one else was home to take our picture, this was the best way to document...through the mirror.

From this picture I would say my little guy loved snuggling his Mommy!

The recipe that I was followed was given to me from the Macy clan, and it was a huge success!

Homemade Pizza Dough
1T yeast
1t sugar
1C warm water

Rest 5 to 10 minutes

1t salt
21/2 C flour
Mix all and add about 2T olive oil

Let rise awhile 30 min and roll out

Let sit 5 minutes before putting toppings on dough

Bake at 425

*side note: if it weren't for my good friend Emily, who lives in Hong Kong, I may not have taken any pictures of the pizza dinner, but per her request... here are a few!  They aren't the greatest pictures...to be honest I almost forgot to take the pictures for you.  So these were taken towards the end of the making pizza process.

We had lots of yummy cheese to put on our pizza.

These ingredients plus chicken (forgot to include in the picture) made for a yummy pizza made by Kayla.

Some of the yummy goodness cooking in the oven!

And only a few pieces were left over!

Since the camera was out I took a few other pictures of our evening together.  Sorry Kayla, we were celebrating your birthday and somehow I didn't manage to get you in a picture.  Thanks for celebrating with us, we had a fun evening with you guys!

Isaiah with Daddy, but noting wanting to smile for the camera.
Uncle Josh was a really good block tower builder!
We (the adults and Isaiah) were impressed with his balancing skills!
