Passport Picture for a 2 Year Old...

We are to the point in our continued paperwork trail that we are ready to get a passport for Isaiah.  Isaiah likes getting his picture taken for the most part so I didn't expect this to be a problem.  Plus I have a feature on my camera that is called ID photos.  I thought it would be the perfect format for a passport picture.  So I changed the setting on my camera, stood Isaiah against a white wall (like the directions indicated) and told him to say cheese.  He obeyed and said cheese!

Here was what I got from the first attempt- it was alright but I figured I would try again.

Here is my second attempt- oh my goodness, super cute.  I am happy with the picture so I stop the passport photo taking process.   

 

However, when I went to print the required 2x2 picture I realized that all of the ID photo formats were rectangles and not squares.  Annoying, but I just figured oh well, I will go take another picture of Isaiah on normal settings and use that cropped down to a 2x2 picture.  Well, of course round 2 wasn't as easy as round 1.  Enjoy the progress on photo attempts!

Here is attempt three- why is your head cocked?

Attempt four-are you kidding me mom, this is ridiculous and I don't want to be taking pictures anymore!

I didn't stop though, because here is my attempt five- yep, looking down and wiping his nose

Attempt five- why are their hands holding you?  Oh that's right you didn't want to be away from Pops!  And you had to hold the M&M magnet in your hands!

Too small and cocked head in attempt fifteen.  Wait who are you sitting on?  Pops!

Here is attempt 16, and his smile is cute!  I bet we could crop this to a nice 2x2 picture! 

Are we sure attempt 16 was the best?  Let's try attempt 17...nope

Alright I give up on this photo shoot you are being silly and just want to hang out with your Pops!

Ah, studying magnets with Pops is just so much more fun and relaxing than picture taking!

 Well, after many attempts we did settle on a picture to be printed for his passport picture!  I never would have imagined taking a passport picture for a 2 year old to be such a process.  However, it was worth the process because many silly memories were made on this evening!
