We started our 2nd flight in Seattle at gate S15 on Asiana Airlines. We have never traveled on an international flight and we did not know what to expect. As soon as we walked onto the airplane we thought we had purchased 1st class tickets. It was an amazing experience. I guess they have to do something to keep you entertained on an 11 hour flight. The night before my brother-in-law Josh had said, "If they bring you a moist heated towel you've arrived." Well no joke about 20 minutes into the flight they brought us our moist heated towel. This was just the first of what was a pretty good flight. The only bummer is that about 1 hour into the flight the flight attendants went through the cabin and had everyone shut the window shades and the turned off the lights as they wanted people to sleep. Really, sleep? How am I supposed to sleep on an airplane when it is 4 in the afternoon. So we watched a few movies on our personal televisions that we had.
Nonna's lunch. They served lunch right after takeoff. Too bad we had eaten at Seattle. We weren't overly hungry but still ate since it was going to be a long flight.
We got to watch our progress on TV screens for the whole flight. This was almost half-way through the trip.
We had about an hour drive to make it to the Hotel Somerset. This is our Driver who Holt sent to pick us up from the airport. Getting through customs, exchanging money and meeting our driver was almost too easy.
Nonna, Pops & Daddio outside the airport.
We are only 4 hours from meeting Isaiah for the first time. We got up at 5:00 this morning Korean time, and feel like we had a decent nights sleep. Hopefully we will be able to transition to the new schedule as soon as we can. We'll update more later today after we have our son!
