James 1:27 says, “Religion that God accepts as pure and faultless is this; to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world.” God desires for orphans of all nations to be loved, cared for, and adopted into Christian families-ultimately so they can become saved, and be adopted into His eternal family through Jesus Christ!

Esther Watering the Garden (7-21)
Grammy has a garden plot that we help her take care of during the summer.
Both kids love helping water the plants!
Dinner with Joy (7-20)
Brad, Emily, Joy and Simon live in Hong Kong, but they came to Oregon for the summer.
We got to have gnocchi for dinner at my parents house and spend the evening together.
I sure miss these friends and wish I could see them more often!
After dinner with friends we went on a family walk... I guess Isaiah was super worn out!
Grammy's House (7-19)
Isaiah used to love to count owl eyes with Grammy when he was little and she could pick him up. Isaiah still likes the owls, but it's just not the same. However, little sister has also picked up the love for Grammy's owls. She now thinks it is great for Grammy to hold her and to look at all the owls.
Car Garage becomes Carl's Jr. Drive Through and Swimming with Claire (7-16)
Isaiah turned his car garage into Carl's Jr. He has really been enjoying
chicken stars from Carl's Jr. I overheard him playing and driving the huge line
of cars through the drive through to order chicken and ketchup.
We went to swim with Claire... but she wasn't in a swimming mood on this particular
afternoon. Isaiah didn't mind... he loved this size pool... big enough to swim, but not
too deep. He had a blast. Maybe we need to invest in a pool like this next year!
Esther wasn't feeling super well.. so she opted for not hanging out in the pool either.
Isaiah had a blast!
Camping (7-15)
Good morning from the tent!
Enjoying his tent on the last morning before it is time to pack up!
Home again, Home again, Jiggity, Jig!
Someone got a sunburn!!
Esther loved helping put lotion on her daddy's sore neck.
An evening walk with Nonna and Pops and then ice cream!
Some drawings to remember our fun camping trip with our neighbors!

Camping With Neighbors (7-14)
The girls going from our campsite to the neighbors campsite.
Missy busted out her hammock...all the kids thought it was great!
Isaiah might seriously need us to buy him a hammock in the future. I love how relaxed he looked!
We went for a pretty good and tiring hike!
Travis and I went on another hike adventure later in the afternoon
because Esther didn't think her morning rest was long enough.
There is no water source (river or lake) but we came prepared by
bringing our baby pool with us to survive the hot afternoons-ha!
Missy had been given the ice bucket challenge. She did the challenge and then the kids wanted
to try out the fun. Good thing it was a hot day and we had already been playing in the baby pool!
